Watch: Dodgers' Puig, Pederson violently collide in outfield

Gary A. Vasquez / USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Joc Pederson left Tuesday's contest against the St. Louis Cardinals after colliding with teammate Yasiel Puig in right field while chasing a fly ball.

Though Puig held on to make the catch and end the frame, Pederson was pinch hit for in the bottom of the inning by Chris Taylor. Puig, though he grabbed at his side after showing the ball in his glove, stayed in the game and made his at-bat in the 10th inning.

It was the second time in the contest that Pederson collided with a fellow outfielder while tracking a ball. Left fielder Cody Bellinger also fell on Pederson in the seventh inning as he caught Matt Carpenter's long fly at the warning track.
