Ronaldo honoured after reaching 400 Real Madrid goals

Cristiano Ronaldo has yet another commemorative shirt to add to his growing collection.

The Real Madrid star spearheaded his club's decisive 3-0 win over rival Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg Tuesday by scoring his second hat-trick in as many matches.

Those tallies also marked another milestone in Ronaldo's illustrious career, as club president Florentino Perez presented him with a shirt to celebrate him reaching the 400-goal mark with Real Madrid.

"I'm very happy, it was a match full of emotions. The team were amazing and scoring three goals made it a special night," Ronaldo told the team's website.

“We're one step closer to Cardiff and we're happy. I feel very good, I've prepared myself to be in good shape for the final stages of the league and Champions League. You also need a bit of luck, because I've been preparing but things are going well; not only for me, but also for the team.

"That's why I say that with dedication and hard work, as always, things come naturally. I'm happy and lucky and I'm from this planet."

It was Ronaldo's seventh hat-trick in the Champions League - level with Barcelona star Lionel Messi - as he extended his goal total to 103 in the competition.
