Crazy Cassano gifted last chance by Hellas Verona
Hellas Verona's drive to become Serie A's source for second chances is in full swing as the top-flight returnee followed Monday's signing of Alessio Cerci with a move for Antonio Cassano.

Cassano, 34, joins Hellas on a free transfer after his second Sampdoria spell was terminated by mutual consent in January.
I Gialloblu announced the signing with a statement on its website Monday, and while terms of the deal were not announced, the club did disclose that Cassano will sport the No. 99 kit next season. Perfect.

Two days before his 35th birthday, the former Italian international is set for an eighth stop after bouts with hometown Bari, Roma, Real Madrid, Sampdoria, AC Milan, Inter, and Parma.
As dynamic on the pitch as he is a liability off of it, Cassano's temper has been a notorious issue for the forward during his 18-year professional career. Long past his prime, Cassano was twice named Serie A Young Footballer of the Year (2001, 2003) and has won a pair of domestic titles and cups.
Capped 39 times by Italy but not since 2014, Cassano meets up at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with former Azzurri teammate and current Hellas captain Giampaolo Pazzini.
