AS Monaco announced Thursday that manager Thierry Henry has been suspended until a final decision on his future has been made. Assistant Franck Passi will take charge of Friday's training session.

News of Henry's suspension comes after he criticized Monaco players for their performance in Tuesday's Coupe de France defeat to second-tier Metz.

Henry, who signed a three-year contract in his first managerial opportunity, hinted Wednesday that he was prepared to downsize his squad ahead of Saturday's contest against Dijon in a move apparently designed to rid the team of players whom he feels have acted selfishly.

Monaco have failed to win a home game since Henry succeeded former manager Leonardo Jardim in October and sit 19th in the Ligue 1 table after 21 matches.
