Neymar doubled Paris Saint-Germain's lead against Liverpool in the 37th minute of Wednesday's Champions League clash, and in doing so, became the all-time leading Brazilian scorer in Europe's preeminent competition.

It was the former Barcelona star's 31st in the tournament, surpassing World Cup winner Kaka for most all time.

Neymar flew down the pitch on the counter before finding Kylian Mbappe on the left wing, who fired a low cross into the feet of Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan's close-range effort was thwarted by Reds shot-stopper Alisson, who gifted international mate Neymar with a simple finish.

The goal was Neymar's fourth in Europe this season to go along with 10 in the league as the 26-year-old looks to replicate last year's haul of 28 tallies in all competitions.
