Manchester City dominated large portions of the opening stanza in Tuesday's Champions League semifinal, but it was Vinicius Junior who broke the deadlock with a thunderous strike to give Real Madrid a 1-0 lead in the first-leg affair.
After ceding possession to the visitors in the opening half-hour, Real Madrid sprang to life in the 36th minute when Eduardo Camavinga found the gifted Brazilian, whose powerful shot from outside the box zipped past a helpless Ederson for the game's opening goal.

Kevin De Bruyne matched his Real Madrid counterpart with a sensational strike of his own in the second half, as the lively contested finished 1-1 in the Spanish capital.
