The Premier League announced Saturday that none of the 1,195 players and club staff checked during the sixth round of coronavirus testing returned positive results.

Tests were conducted between June 4 and June 5.

It's the second round of testing that has produced zero results, with the total number of positive cases remaining at 13 since scanning began in mid-May.

Round Date Players/Staff tested Positives
1 May 17-18  748 6
2 May 19-22  996 2
3 May 25-26  1008 4
4 May 28-29  1130 0
5 June 1-2  1197 1

The Premier League will continue to test players and staff members twice each week.

Another round of zero positive results is a massive boost as the Premier League gets set to resume action later this month for the first time since play was halted in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The league will return behind closed doors when Aston Villa take on Sheffield United on June 17.
