Mauricio Pochettino called for unity and pledged his future to Tottenham Hotspur on Friday following their 7-2 defeat by Bayern Munich.

Tuesday's Champions League humiliation marked the largest home loss suffered by an English club in any European competition and fueled concerns that Pochettino won't stay at Spurs for much longer.

"This is a moment to stay all together," Pochettino, who was appointed as Tottenham manager in 2014, said during a press conference, according to ESPN. "It doesn't only happen at Spurs, but all clubs in the world.

"In the end all that happens is we lost a game. No doubt we stay all together and we find a way to be successful again.

"I think every single press conference we have talked about my future. I hope we are still talking, in five years more, about my future here."

Spurs are rooted to the bottom of Group B with one point after their draw with Olympiacos and collapse against Bayern Munich. They return to Champions League duty on Oct. 22 when Red Star Belgrade travel to north London.

Pochettino spoke to the media before Saturday's Premier League affair between Spurs and Brighton & Hove Albion, and insisted his squad remains committed to Tottenham despite continued whispers of discontent behind the scenes.

"I have no doubt the players always want to do their best to win," he said. "They play for themselves, for their families, and then for the club and the coaching staff.

"I have no doubt they have commitment, with four years or one in their contract, that is no doubt."
