Arsene Wenger is on the verge of returning to the touchline, according to Martyn Ziegler of The Times.

The former Arsenal manager has four job offers on the table and is expected to accept one of them within a month and return to coaching.

Wenger has been out of the game since ending his 22-year career in north London at the end of last season.

The Frenchman, who's worked as a television pundit in the months since his departure, has reportedly told friends of his desire to return to his usual duties as manager, including the day-to-day involvement of working with players.

Offers for Wenger reportedly include a job as a national team's gaffer and two coaching roles with "leading European clubs".

It's believed that Paris Saint-Germain are eager to hire the 69-year-old, but would prefer to appoint him as their director of football.

In November, a report suggested that Wenger was eager to join Bayern Munich amid claims that Niko Kovac's job was under threat following a slow start to the season.

A return to England, however, is probably out of the question for Wenger after he pledged that he wouldn't manage another Premier League team in order to avoid disrespecting his former employer.

Wenger was reportedly approached by Fulham in October before rejecting their offer to replace manager Slavisa Jokanovic, who was eventually succeeded by Claudio Ranieri.
