Anthony Martial has committed his future to Manchester United.

The Red Devils announced on Thursday that the French attacker has signed a new contract with the club until June 2024. The deal also includes an option to extend for a further year.

"I am loving my time at this club," Martial said.

"From the day I joined I have been made to feel part of the United family and I have been incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by the warmth and love of our fans, who continue to amaze me with their support."

Rumors surrounding the explosive forward's future were rampant during the waning days of Jose Mourinho's tenure at Old Trafford, as Martial - like many of his attacking peers - struggled while playing under the Portuguese bench boss.

But the Frenchman, who has 46 goals in 162 appearances since joining the club from Monaco in 2015, figures to be a key contributor for a side that is playing more expansive football under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"I would like to thank Ole and his coaching staff for their belief in me and for helping me to take my game to the next level," Martial added.

"This club is all about winning trophies and I am sure the next piece of silverware is not that far away."
