Fresh off his impressive performance in Chelsea's Europa League win this week, Callum Hudson-Odoi has threatened to leave the Premier League side unless he's given assurances that he will receive more first-team opportunities.

Hudson-Odoi made the best of his inaugural start of the season by scoring his first senior goal during Chelsea's 's 4-0 win over PAOK on Thursday.

After training alongside first-team players this season and regularly being left out of the matchday squad, the 18-year-old has grown frustrated over his role and has threatened to move on if manager Maurizio Sarri continues to view him as an afterthought, according to Dominic Fifield of the Guardian.

The teenager has just 18 months left on his contract and is understood to be reluctant to sign a five-year contract that Chelsea offered him last summer.

Fifield adds that Hudson-Odoi's situation at Stamford Bridge has attracted interest from unknown clubs in Spain and Germany.

As Chelsea prepare to face Fulham on Sunday, Hudson-Odoi isn't expected to be included in Sarri's matchday squad, despite his bright performance in Greece.

The Italian manager praised the England Under-17 World Cup winner, but questioned Hudson-Odoi's ability to play in the Premier League given the fact that his impressive display Thursday came against a PAOK team that was reduced to 10 men shortly after kick-off.

"I don't know if Hudson-Odoi is able for the Premier League at 18, especially in a big team," Sarri told reporters, according to Sky Sports.

"If he's good enough to play in a big team in the Premier League at 18 then he could be the best player in Europe in two years.

"I think he played very well but the type of match was for his characteristics as they had 10 men after seven minutes. We only needed to play in the offensive phase, he's very able to do this but I want to see him in a match when he has to play in a defensive phase."

Chelsea are reportedly open to sending Hudson-Odoi out on loan when the January transfer window opens.
