Arsenal overcome early Leicester pressure to record 10th straight win

Mesut Ozil put on an ingenious display as Arsenal fought back to beat Leicester City 3-1 on Monday.

The Foxes deservedly took the lead at the Emirates when Hector Bellerin deflected Ben Chilwell's cross into his own net, but the home side was then steered to victory by Ozil's effortless brilliance.

The German equalized after a neat exchange with Bellerin, played an immaculate pass in the buildup for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first goal, and then was central to an excellent team move that teed up Aubameyang's second after 66 minutes.

Arsenal have now won 10 straight across all competitions. Unai Emery, who succeeded Arsene Wenger's 22-year stint, has been insistent that his squad is a work in progress, but significant headway is evident in Arsenal's cohesive attacking play. It's just their defense - as demonstrated in Leicester's dominance in the early stages - that is lagging behind rivals in the Premier League's top six.

The Gunners face Sporting CP, Crystal Palace, and Blackpool in three separate competitions in just over a week before facing a real test of their quality when Liverpool visit on Nov. 3.
