Paris Saint-Germain will once again be without Neymar for an extended period, as the club announced Monday that the oft-injured attacker is expected to miss four weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring lesion.

The 27-year-old sustained his latest ailment while on international duty with Brazil, limping off early in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Nigeria.

PSG added that he'll be re-evaluated in eight days.

When asked about his decision to field the star forward after Sunday's match, Selecao manager Tite was adamant that there were no pre-existing injury concerns.

"It would be irresponsible and incompetent of me (to play Neymar if he was a doubt)," Tite said, according to ESPN. "I would have to receive the complaints of the coach and the president of PSG if that happened."

Neymar, who only returned to action last month after recovering from an ankle problem, scored four goals in his first five Ligue 1 appearances this season and looked to be rounding into form after missing the Copa America on home soil this past summer.

Should he be sidelined for the full four-week period, Neymar would miss six matches in total, including a league clash against Marseille and a pair of Champions League bouts with Club Brugge.
