Federer hopes Nike will give him 'RF' logo 'sooner than later'

Roger Federer has moved on from Nike, but he's not ready to part ways with his iconic "RF" logo.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion, who left Nike for Japanese brand Uniqlo, expressed interest in getting his "RF" logo back during a conference call at Wimbledon.

"The RF logo is with Nike at the moment, but it will come to me at some point. I hope rather sooner than later, that Nike can be nice and helpful in the process to bring it over to me," Federer said, according to Luigi Gatto of Tennis World USA. "It's also something that was very important for me, for the fans really. Look, it's the process. But the good news is that it will come with me at one point. They are my initials. They are mine."

Although Federer wore his new Uniqlo clothing at Wimbledon, he still opted for Nike shoes.

Federer was with Nike for nearly 25 years prior to inking his deal with Uniqlo, which will reportedly pay him more than $300 million.
