Varlamov back in net for Russia against Slovakia
After Semyon Varlamov started for Russia in its tournament opener against Slovenia, Sergei Bobrovski got the start in net in Saturday's loss to the Americans. The Russians will be switching it up once again for Sunday's final preliminary game against Slovakia.
Varlamov wasn't very busy in the 5-2 win over Slovenia, stopping 12 of 14 shots. Bobrovsky had a far more difficult game against Team USA and stopped 31 of 33 shots in the 3-2 shootout loss. He also gave up four goals on eight attempts by the Americans in the shootout.
