VIDEO: Snowboarder Alena Zavarzina sees husband Vic Wild after his gold medal run

Canadian Michael Lambert didn't qualify for Wednesday's knock-out rounds in Parallel Giant Slalom, but he captured a wonderful exchange between two of his friends in the sport.

Alena Zavarzina won the bronze medal in the women's small final right before her husband Vic Wild took the gold in the men's final. Lambert caught the first moment the two shared when Wild made it to the bottom of the hill.

Lambert's caption:

I'm sorry for posting again. You'll have to take it up with my friends for winning medals today. Just a few weeks ago Alena broke her arm in a race and had to undergo emergency surgery. She was selected last minute for the last spot on the women's Russian snowboard team. Today in front of a home crowd, with her husband Vic winning gold, she took home the bronze medal. This is the first moment they saw each other after the race. Too beautiful for words. True champions. I love you two. #roadtohappiness
