Watch: Gregerson strikes out Matsuda to set up Puerto Rico rematch

Gary A. Vasquez / USA TODAY Sports

With a dancing 82-mph curveball, United States reliever Luke Gregerson booked a date in the World Baseball Classic final against Puerto Rico.

Called into the game to begin the ninth inning, the Houston Astros reliever needed just seven pitches in total to pick up the crucial save for the Americans and set up the tasty rematch against the Puerto Ricans in the final.

Gregerson's final pitch capped off a disastrous night for Japanese third baseman Nobuhiro Matsuda, whose eighth-inning bobbling of Adam Jones' dribbler allowed Brandon Crawford to score the game-winning run.
