Watch: Tevez finds top corner to lift Boca Juniors past River Plate
Carlos Tevez continues to endear himself to Boca Juniors supporters after scoring a brace to help his boyhood club register a dramatic 4-2 win over River Plate on Sunday.
With Boca trailing 2-1 after the break, the former Manchester City and West Ham striker brought the visitors level when he took advantage of a goalkeeping blunder before slotting the ball into an open net.
He was at it again less than 20 minutes later when he curled a 20-yard strike right into the top corner of goal.
Adrian Ricardo Centurion's injury-time goal made it 4-2 shortly before Boca secured three points.
The victory gives Boca a one-point advantage atop the Primera Division table, though Estudiantes could reclaim first place with a win over San Martin San Juan later in the day.
