Kid applies for Inverness Caledonian Thistle coaching gig, receives fitting reply

Seven-year-old Ewen MacKenzie penned a hand-written letter to Scottish top-flight side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, inquiring about the vacant managerial position following John Hughes' departure.

The crafty note features several highlights of the letter addressed to Chairman Kenny Cameron, not the least of which is, "I can speak to the headmaster and see if he would be up for letting me leave school early for important matches and training."

Caley Thistle posted the letter on its website, noting, "We think Ewen could be a top contender for the vacant ICTFC managerial position….what do you think?"

Cameron replied to Mackenzie on behalf of the Scottish Highlands side on Thursday, saying, "We have looked carefully at your credentials and unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful."
