Juventus's Paul Pogba still 'long way' from returning, Allegri says

Reuters

Paul Pogba won't be patrolling the Juventus midfield, embarrassing opponents and scoring spectacular goals for quite some time.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri, speaking ahead of his club's contest with Lazio on Saturday, said the 22-year-old Frenchman still has a long road ahead of him as he recovers from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since mid-March.

Pogba sustained the ailment in Juventus's 3-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund last month, and was initially ruled out for 50 days - a timeline that would, if all goes well, see him back on the pitch in early May.
