PSG's Cavani rules out summer exit

Teams in need of a striker can cross Edinson Cavani off their list.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward ruled out reports suggesting he will leave during the summer transfer window after being linked to multiple teams across Europe.

While he's been linked with moves to Juventus and Manchester Untied, Cavani insists he is dedicated to PSG, who he signed a five-year contract with in 2013 after three seasons with Napoli.

"There is too much talk about my future but I will remain here," Cavani told reporters after his team's 3-1 loss to Barcelona on Wednesday.

"I will respect my contract and I'm only focusing on doing well for PSG."

It's been an underwhelming start to his career in France, as many expected the club to have an explosive attack with Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic terrorizing defences.

Cavani, however, has failed to live up to the reported £50-million price tag PSG paid Napoli after registering a lackluster eight goals in 28 Ligue 1 games, well off the mark of last year's 16 goals through 30 matches.
