Italian champion Juventus bolstered its attacking options out wide Thursday, announcing a €23-million transfer for Dinamo Zagreb winger Marko Pjaca.

The Croatia international joins the Bianconeri after completing a medical and will likely help mitigate the loss of last year's loan signing Juan Cuadrado, who returned to Chelsea ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Pjaca, 21, bid Dinamo Zagreb fans an emotional goodbye during Sunday's league match against Lokomotiva, receiving a standing ovation and later writing a letter to fans of the 11-time Croatian league champ.

"I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who gave me a standing ovation when I was substituted. I'm a Zagreb boy who loves Dinamo and I have to admit this applause is one of the most beautiful moments of my career. Thank you all for what you gave to me tonight. It was a moment I will never forget."

During his two years with the club, Pjaca made 90 appearances in all competitions, scoring 26 goals. He has been capped 10 times for the Croatian national team, too.
