Boston Bruins prospect Malcolm Subban is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a fractured larynx.

The goaltender was hospitalized after being struck in the throat by a puck during pregame warmups prior to Saturday's game between the AHL's Providence Bruins and Portland Pirates.

Subban stayed overnight at Maine Medical Center in Portland and was moved to Mass General Hospital in Boston on Sunday for further evaluation, according to the NHL club.

The 22-year-old is in stable condition.

He's appeared in 85 AHL games and one NHL contest since the Bruins drafted him 24th overall in 2012.
