Benn, Holtby, Galchenyuk named 3 stars of the week

Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn, Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby, and Monteal Canadiens center Alex Galchenyuk have been named the NHL's three stars of the week.

Benn took first star honors after notching six points in three games. The Stars captain leads the league with 18 goals and ranks second behind Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane with 35 points.

Holtby was named second star of the week after going 4-0-0 with a 1.75 GAA, a .945 save percentage, and one shutout. His 1.95 GAA this season ranks first in the NHL among qualified starters, and he has a league-best 15 wins.

Galchenyuk received the week's third star after tallying four goals and an assist in three contests, including a pair of multi-point games. The 21-year-old now has 18 points, including seven in his last five contests.
