VIDEO: Lundqvist falls theatrically after apparent headshot by Marchand
New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist may have exaggerated the impact of a bump to the head by Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand on Friday afternoon.
Lundqvist fell to the ice after appearing to be nudged by Marchand's right thigh.
Marchand received a two-minute minor for interference, and J.T. Miller scored on the ensuing power play to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead.
The Bruins can't really complain, though, because Boston forward Brett Connolly scored earlier in the game after the Bruins were gifted a questionable power play when Rangers defenseman Dylan McIlrath got an instigator penalty in the second period.
Bruins forward Ryan Spooner tied the game on the man advantage with 3:46 remaining in regulation, and David Krejci gave Boston a 4-3 lead with 1:43 to go.
But with the two points in hand, Lundqvist's performance was still fresh on the minds of the Bruins.
