VIDEO: Kings' Quick extends to make superb blocker save on Canucks' Vrbata

Please forgive Radim Vrbata for thinking he had his first goal of the season. On a number of other goalies, he would have. But not Jonathan Quick.

The Los Angeles Kings netminder went left to right Tuesday night, stretching to make an absurd blocker save on the Vancouver Canucks finisher.

Quick was the only member of the Kings who showed up Tuesday, as L.A. fell 3-0 to Vancouver. It was the Kings' third straight loss to start the season, and most concerning of all was the fact the club managed only 15 shots on goal - five in the first period, four in the second, and six in the third.

The Kings have been outscored 12-2 in three games, their -10 goal differential the worst in the NHL.

Vancouver, meanwhile, completed a joyous mini two-game Southern California road trip, beating the Kings and Anaheim Ducks in back-to-back nights.

Ryan Miller's strong start to the season continued: he's allowed a goal or less in three of his four starts, now has a shutout to his name, and has stopped 107 of 112 shots he's faced.

Canucks forward Jake Virtanen made his NHL debut Tuesday and played 9:18, recording a shot on goal, three hits, and a blocked shot.
