Miller, Canucks sink Ducks in shootout

Gary A. Vasquez / USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Miller entered the pond and brushed aside the Anaheim Ducks.

The veteran goaltender made 28 saves in regulation and overtime, and stopped two of three shootout attempts to help the Vancouver Canucks earn their second win of the season on Monday.

His confidence appeared sky high on this last-ditch effort by Corey Perry, casually knocked away by a perfect poke check.

Miller has now stopped 92 out of 97 shots against this season for a save percentage of .948. The season is young, but it marks a drastic improvement over the .911 mark posted in 45 appearances last year.
