Yes! Yes! Yes!

John Tavares accumulated three points, including the eventual game-winner, as the New York Islanders triumphed for the first time as Brooklynites on Monday afternoon, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 at the Barclays Center.

New York jumped out to a 3-0 lead on goals from Ryan Strome, Brock Nelson, and Tavares before the Jets cut the deficit to one in the third period, only to have Josh Bailey ice it into an empty net.

Thomas Greiss made 22 saves for the Islanders, who outshot Winnipeg 44-24 in the contest.

The Islanders will return to Brooklyn on Oct. 20 after a mini two-game road trip.
