No New Jersey Devils player will ever wear Martin Brodeur's No. 30 again.

The Devils will retire Brodeur's number on Feb. 9, 2016, before their game against the Edmonton Oilers.

He'll be the fourth Devils player to have his number retired, joining Scott Stevens, Ken Daneyko, and Scott Niedermayer.

"I am humbled and honored to have this opportunity with the organization that drafted me over 20 years ago, and thrilled to share this moment with fans who have become like family,” he said.

The Devils are also commissioning a statue of the netminder that will be dedicated during the celebration weekend, which begins Feb. 6.

Brodeur was named assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues in May after retiring as a player in January.

He won three Stanley Cup championships with the Devils and was a four-time recipient of the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender.

He recorded a league-record 691 wins and 125 shutouts over a 20-year career.
