Report: Kings' Lucic, Brown evade further discipline for opening night incidents

Gary A. Vasquez / USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Kings forwards Milan Lucic and Dustin Brown won't face further discipline following separate incidents during Wednesday's season opener against the San Jose Sharks, according to Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com.

Lucic, playing in his Kings debut, was assessed a match penalty for attempting to injure Logan Couture, while Brown delivered a controversial hit to Couture earlier in the game that wasn't flagged by officials at the time.

Upon further review by the league, both players will be eligible to suit up for Friday's game against the Arizona Coyotes.
