The New York Islanders are planning to honor the late Al Arbour this upcoming season.

The team will wear commemorative patches on their jerseys this season to pay tribute to the Hall of Fame coach who passed away last week at the age of 82, pending league approval, according to Arthur Staple of Newsday Sports.

Arbour sits second all-time in coaching wins only to Scotty Bowman, with 782 and helped lead the Islanders to four Stanley Cups in the early 1980s.
