With all the shuffling the Toronto Maple Leafs have done recently, an ex-employee may be on the move as well.

Former Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis has been given permission to speak with the Anaheim Ducks about a role with the team as an adviser, TSN's Darren Dreger reports.

Nonis was relieved of his duties as GM of the Maple Leafs in April, after the team suffered through a season that resulted in a 30-44-8 record.

The former GM has ties to the Ducks, having previously served as senior adviser of hockey operations with the club in 2008.
