The New York Rangers have agreed to a deal with forward Viktor Stalberg.

TSN's Darren Dreger reports the contract is worth $1.1 million.

Stalberg, a former 20-goal scorer with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2011-12, only appeared in 25 games last season for the Nashville Predators, earning 10 points.

The product of Sweden was drafted in sixth round of the 2006 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

His four-year, $12-million contract was recently bought out by the Predators.

The Rangers also announced the signing of forward Brian Gibbons, who appeared in 25 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season.
