Jack Eichel signs entry-level deal with Sabres, will turn pro

Jack Eichel's collegiate career is over.

The Buffalo Sabres signed the reigning Hobey Baker winner and second overall selection to a three-year entry-level contract Wednesday.

He can earn upward of $1 million next season on a maximum base salary plus bonus incentives.

Eichel scored 26 goals and 71 points in his freshman season with the Boston University Terriers.
