First, Jeff Petry; next, Brian Flynn.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Flynn to a two-year, $1.9-million contract, reports TSN's Bob McKenzie.

Flynn, similar to Petry, came to the Canadiens at last season's trade deadline and left enough of an impression on Habs' brass to earn himself a new contract.

The 26-year-old didn't earn a regular-season point for Montreal after coming over from the Buffalo Sabres, but managed three points in six postseason contests.

His 17 points throughout the regular season, however, did set a career high.

The restricted free agent earned $650,000 last year.
