Lightning's Jon Cooper on Ryan Callahan ahead of Game 5: 'He's going to score'

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

No pressure.

Ryan Callahan enters Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final without a playoff goal through 16 games, but Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has a feeling the drought will end Sunday.

As if that wasn't enough, the pivotal Game 5 will be played at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers, for whom Callahan served as captain for close to four seasons before being sent to the Lightning in exchange for Martin St. Louis.

The fact that St. Louis happened to score his first of the playoffs in a Game 4 win over the Lightning could only add to Callahan's squeezing of the stick.

In fairness, Callahan ranks sixth among Lightning forwards with 26 shots on goal, and is days removed from an emergency appendectomy. But with a career shooting percentage of 10.9 percent, Cooper doesn't seem too off base in expecting a goal from Callahan as early as Sunday.

Your move, Ryan.
