Lightning's Callahan on Lundqvist: 'We're going to expect his best' in Game 4

The Tampa Bay Lightning have made New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist look like Swiss cheese, but they don't expect that to last.

After his team pumped 12 goals past the Rangers netminder in their last two contests, Lightning forward Ryan Callahan expects a different Lundqvist in Game 4.

"He’s a competitor. Everybody knows that," Callahan told reporters Friday. "He’s one of the best goalies in the league for a reason and he’s going to compete and he’s going to play his best.

"I’ve played with him for many years and he demands a lot out of himself. He demands a lot out of his teammates," Callahan said. "We’re going to expect his best come the game (tonight)."

This is uncharted territory for Lundqvist, who, prior to Games 2 and 3, had allowed only 11 goals in his past seven games.

Though he expects a bounce-back game from Lundqvist, Callahan said the team will continue making life hard for his former teammate.

"We’ve had some chances and we’ve capitalized on them. That’s how you look at it. He’s going to be in there and he’s going to make the save," said Callahan. "We’ve been trying to make it tough on him, getting second chances, getting traffic, and we’ve been successful with it, so we’ve just got to try to continue it."

Game 4 goes Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
