The Vancouver Canucks held their end-of-the-season press conference Monday and forward Alex Burrows opened up about his rib injury.
Burrows told reporters that he suffered a fractured rib and dislocated rib cartilage. The 34-year-old also explained that the fracture occurred when, after a fight in Game 3 against the Calgary Flames, the linesman ended up on his back.
The injury was then made worse the following morning after he took a shot in the same spot.
Burrows had two assists in three games against the Flames, but missed the final three games of the series.
