Canadiens' Price on shutout: 'Those are the things you dream about as a kid'

Carey Price saved his best performance of the first round for Sunday's series clincher, making 43 stops for his fifth career playoff shutout to knock the Ottawa Senators out in Game 6.

The Montreal Canadiens netminder has thrived off pressure situations for his entire career and Sunday's busy contest was no exception. Price was his typical nonchalant self during postgame interviews, but he made it clear how much he enjoys playing games like that.

"That's what makes it fun," Price told reporters. "Those are the situations you want to be in, those are the things you dream about as a kid."

Price was coming off a shaky Game 5 performance at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where he allowed five goals on 25 shots, but he wasn't about to let that setback affect him.

"The last game was irrelevant," Price said. "It came down to being prepared to for this game. Any playoff series is a grind with teams giving it whatever they've got. It's not easy to win. Give them credit, they definitely pushed us to the limit and now it's good to get some rest."

Price posted a 1.94 goals-against average and .939 save percentage in the six-game series against Ottawa. His teammates pranked him with a little silent treatment to celebrate his stellar series after Sunday's game.
