Paul Maurice wasn't faking when he told reporters his team was bit by injury.
The Winnipeg Jets detailed their laundry list of ailments in their season-ending exit scrums Friday at the MTS Center two days after being swept at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks.
Injuries up front:
- Captain Andrew Ladd was hampered by a sports hernia for half the season and will see a specialist to determine the course of action, admitting surgery is likely.
- Bryan Little was dealing with a rib dislocation.
- Mathieu Perreault had a low ankle sprain and a bone bruise, also ripping ligaments and a bone in his left hand.
And on defense:
- Jacob Trouba will have surgery after breaking a bone in his left hand in Game 2. He will miss 6-8 weeks.
- Dustin Byfuglien was dealing with a dislocated rib.
It was also revealed that three others probably need surgery for their shoulders.
