Galchenyuk's OT winner gives Canadiens 2-0 series lead over Senators
Alex Galchenyuk scored less than four minutes into overtime, propelling the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal Friday night.
The Canadiens hold a 2-0 series lead in the series that now shifts to Ottawa for Game 3 on Sunday.
Star Performer: Senators forward Mark Stone picked up a pair of assists and played over 18 minutes. Stone suffered a wrist microfracture in Game 1 and was questionable for the rest of the series before playing Friday.
Turning Point: Galchenyuk buried the rebound after an initial shot by Brendan Gallagher, giving the Canadiens back-to-back victories on home ice to open the series.
Goalie Comparison: Both goaltenders were excellent in Game 2, but Carey Price was simply better.
