The Colorado Avalanche may be out of the playoff picture, but they still have plenty to look forward to.
Lake Erie Monsters goaltender and Avalanche prospect Calvin Pickard made one of the saves of the year during Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Admirals.
Nashville Predators prospect Kevin Fiala appeared to have a wide-open net, but Pickard dove across to rob him with the glove.
Pickard posted solid numbers in 16 games with the Avalanche, going 6-7-3 with a 2.35 goals-against average and .932 save percentage.
The future looks bright in the Avalanche crease.
