Lightning's Hedman day-to-day with lower-body injury

The Tampa Bay Lightning are referring to defenseman Victor Hedman as day-to-day in light of the injury he suffered in Monday's win over the Montreal Canadiens.

Hedman played only one shift in the third period of the 5-3 victory, and the team said Tuesday that the blue-liner has a lower-body issue.

The Lightning recalled defenseman Slater Koekkoek on Monday.

Hedman has 37 points in 57 games and leads the team in time-on-ice, averaging 22:36.
