The Chicago Blackhawks rallied from a one-goal deficit in the third period to defeat the Winnipeg Jets at MTS Centre on Sunday, and it was the hometown boy who played the hero.
Jonathan Toews, who was born in Winnipeg, redirected Niklas Hjalmarsson's shot with 31 seconds left, giving the Blackhawks a 4-3 lead they would not relinquish.
The win moved them ahead of the idle Minnesota Wild for third place in the Western Conference's Central Division.
