The battle for the NCAA Division I crown continued Saturday with six games on the schedule.

Here are the results from Day 2.

Denver 5, Boston College 2

Grant Arnold scored two goals to lead Denver over Boston College in the East Regional semifinals Saturday. Up next for the Pioneers will be Providence Sunday at 5 pm ET with a trip to the Frozen Four up for grabs.

The high powered Boston College offense was held in check the last three games, scoring just three goals over that time. They finish their season 21-14-3.

I'm really happy, but we're on a mission this year," head coach Jim Montgomery said. "This is what we expected. We're a determined group and I thought our start showed how much we wanted this game."

Boston University 3, Minnesota-Duluth 2

Evan Rodrigues' goal in the third period lifted top seeded Boston University over the No. 2 seeded Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 in the Northeast Regional Final, sending the Terriers to their first Frozen Four since 2009.

Rodrigues got the scoring started at 7:17 of the first period to give Boston U the 1-0 advantage, but UMD tied the game just 37 seconds in the second with the two teams exchanging goals to knot the game at two after two. Rodrigues' power play marker at 17:36 proved to be the difference. Center Jack Eichel, the likely No. 2 overall pick in the NHL draft, was held to just three shots in the contest.

The win improves Boston University to 27-7-5 on the season while UMD ends the year at 21-16-3.

Rochester Institute 2, MSU-Mankato 1

Rochester Institute pulled off the unthinkable, upsetting top-seeded MSU-Mankota in the Midwest Regional semifinals.

Josh Mitchell scored the go-ahead marker and added an assist to lead the Tigers to victory. Up next for Rochester Inst. will be Omaha for a spot in the Frozen Four semifinals.

Providence 7, Miami (OH) 5

Providence continued the role of spoiler Saturday, upsetting the No. 4 seed Miami (OH) in the East Regional semifinals in what turned out to be a thrilling game - more specifically, the third period.

The two teams were tied after one frame, but four goals by Providence in the second period broke things right open and appeared to be enough for Providence to cruise into the third. Miami (OH) had other plans.

Down 6-2 in the third, Miami pulled their goaltender with just over seven minutes remaining and incredibly scored three goals to get within a goal. Down one, Miami's Louis Belpedio showed hustle - to say the least - keeping the game close with a diving stop with the net empty, but it was to no avail, as the Friars earned a date with Denver Sunday for a spot in the Frozen Four.

Omaha 4, Harvard 1

History was made Saturday as the Omaha Mavericks downed Harvard 4-1 in the Midwest Regional semifinal to earn their first NCAA tournament win in their 18-year hockey history. The Mavericks will now face Rochester Institute of Technology Sunday night for a berth in the Frozen Four.

Grant Gallo got Omaha on the board early in the first period, while Avery Peterson followed with a power play goal late in the period, to put the Mavs up 2-0. Harvard scored one in the third frame to keep the game close, but couldn't complete the comeback after Tyler Vesel scored in the empty net to seal the historic victory for Omaha.

North Dakota 4, St. Cloud State 1

North Dakota booked their ticket to the Frozen Four semifinal, defeating St. Cloud State 4-1. North Dakota will now faceoff against Boston University on April 9, who defeated Minnesota-Duluth earlier in the day.

Jimmy Murray got St. Cloud State on the board first one minute into the contest, but Andrew-Panzarella answered for North Dakota at the nine minute mark. North Dakota went up one in the second and ended up being no match for St. Cloud State, who dropped to 2-4 against them this season.
