The Columbus Blue Jackets have reportedly dealt defenseman James Wisniewski to the Anaheim Ducks.

The Blue Jackets reportedly receive prospect William Karlsson, forward Rene Bourque and a second-round pick, as first reported by Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch.

Columbus has confirmed the deal.

The Blue Jackets had been shopping the veteran blue-liner prior to the deadline. He sustained a foot injury in Sunday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He scored eight goals and added 21 assists in 56 games in his fourth season with the Blue Jackets.

Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen explained his motivation for dealing Wisniewski:

Bourque cleared waivers earlier Monday, and Karlsson split the season between the Ducks and their AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.
