1997 - Bourque becomes Bruins' all-time leading scorer

Boston Bruins defenseman Ray Bourque scores a goal and adds an assist in 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 1,341 points.

He captures the club record in his 18th season, eclipsing winger John Bucyk, who established the benchmark in his 21st.

Bourque extends his team record to 1,506 points before joining the Colorado Avalanche and winning his first Stanley Cup. 

1980 - Gretzky's 1st trick

Wayne Gretzky scores the first of 50 hat tricks during his legendary career, helping the Edmonton Oilers to a 9-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.

Coincidentally, Gretzky's first trio comes in his 50th career game.
