Flyers' Giroux campaigns to see coach Berube scrap Jets' Byfuglien

Back in his day, Craig Berube was one tough customer.

The Philadelphia Flyers head coach remains one of the most-decorated fighters in the franchise's rough-and-tumble history, and owns more than 3,000 penalty minutes, seventh-most all-time.

But in his 17 seasons, did he tangle with anyone standing 6-foot-5 and weighing in at more than 265 pounds?

Well, that's what his captain Claude Giroux would like to see Thursday night after "Chief" Berube was seen jawing with Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien following the team's 4-3 win last month.

"I don’t know if Byfuglien and Chief are going to fight tonight, but I would like to see that," Giroux told reporters

Giroux went as far as giving the 49-year-old veteran a slight edge.

"I would go with my coach, I think. He's due for a good fight."
