Penguins coach Johnston: Crosby 'should be back fairly soon'

Brad Penner / USA TODAY Sports

Sidney Crosby won't be out for long as he deals with a lower-body injury, according to Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Johnston.

"Sid should be back fairly soon," Johnston said after practice Monday. "After the injection, he only has to wait so many days and those days are up."

Crosby did not take part in Monday's session. He missed the weekend's All-Star festivities and was suspended one game as a result.

The Penguins announced Friday that Crosby received an injection to treat the lower-body injury he suffered on Jan. 10 against the Montreal Canadiens.
