Penguins' Letang, Hornqvist, Perron game-time decisions Tuesday vs. Jets

The Pittsburgh Penguins may welcome back two key pieces to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Head coach Mike Johnston announced after the morning skate that defenseman Kris Letang and forward Patric Hornqvist as game-time decisions.

Johnston said forward David Perron will be a game-time decision as well. He was feeling under the weather.

Letang was injured on Jan. 20 after falling prey to a cross check delivered by Philadelphia Flyers tough guy Zac Rinaldo, which earned the latter an eight-game suspension. Hornqvist has been out of the lineup since late December with a lower-body injury.

The Penguins will be without injured stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin for Tuesday;s game, meaning the presence of this pair would be a big boost for the lineup.
